Do you enjoy receiving hand written greetings and mail?

Do you miss the personal touch?

Are you ‘interested’ when you receive a hand addressed envelope?

If you appreciate any of the above, this blog will interest you.
Feeling I was too close to the subject to be objective, I recently asked a dear friend to write
a few words for the homepage of my new website.

To my surprise she made an observation I had little or no reality on.
It appears that over the years she has kept many of the greeting cards I made for her.
I am talking a lot of years.

Making her cards was a pleasure, and I had fun creating them, but to think she
valued them so highly, even more than the presents, amazed me.

She said the reason they were more valuable to her than the present, was because I had
thought enough of her and taken the time, to make something original, just for her.

To this day she can remember the cards, but has no idea what the presents were.
So it seems that, as my Mother used to say…”it’s the thought that counts”…is actually true.
Taking the time to remember someone, letting them know we appreciate and love them,
enriches all our lives. These are priceless and magical moments that stay with us forever,
the caring ‘little’ things.

Contributing to each other, makes the world a better place.
We move so fast in our hustle bustle lives and often don’t take time out.
Valuing each other and taking the time to say so, is a wonderful thing.
Something we could all remember to do more often.
